About Me and This Blog
Let’s unwind the story of this blog- bijliwaligaadi.com:
👤 About Me
Hi, I’m Rakesh Ray—the person building BijliWaliGaadi.
I come from an automotive engineering background and have spent over a decade working on electric and hybrid powertrain systems. Most of what I know comes from being directly involved with the technology—understanding how things behave in the real world, not just on paper.
But over time, I started noticing a gap.
A lot of EV content in India was in terms of news articles (lacking core-technical insights) , and too simplified to the point where it missed the real picture. And more importantly, very few platforms were connecting technology with actual decision-making—whether it’s buying an EV, understanding costs, or making sense of policy changes along with also understanding the key-technology powering EVs.
That’s where the idea of BijliWaliGaadi started.
Not as a “content website”, but as something that could slowly evolve into a reliable EV knowledge platform in India—one that people can come back to when they want clarity, not noise.
Alongside my engineering experience, I also completed my Executive MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi. That phase helped me step back and look at EVs beyond just the technical side—into business models, market shifts, and how decisions are actually made in the industry.
And that combination has shaped how I approach this platform today.
About ‘BijliWaliGaadi’
BijliWaliGaadi is still growing, but the intent is very clear.
This is being built as a focused, niche platform around electric mobility—not trying to cover everything, but trying to do one space really well.
The idea is simple:
If someone wants to truly understand EVs in the Indian context, this should be a place they can rely on.
So the content here tries to go a little deeper than usual:
- Not just what is happening
- But why it is happening
- And what it means for different people
Whether it’s:
- A first-time EV buyer
- Someone working in the industry
- Or someone just trying to make sense of all the noise
Where This Is Heading
The long-term goal is to evolve BijliWaliGaadi into something bigger:
- A trusted EV knowledge platform
- A place for practical insights, not just opinions
- Potentially expanding into a collaborative platform connecting industry and end users, focused on raising awareness around informed product selection across B2B and B2C Indian automotive EV market.
Without losing what makes it different:
👉 Staying focused
👉 Staying true to its uniqueness
👉 Staying useful
A Work in Progress
This is not a finished story.
It’s something that’s evolving—with every article, every insight, and every question that comes from readers.
If you’ve been following along, or even just landed here recently—thanks for being a part of it.
