Question 1

Why did Toyota Thailand stop vehicle production in October 2026?

Accepted Answer

Flooding disrupted parts deliveries, so Toyota Motor Thailand temporarily adjusted production. The disruption involved Samut Prakan, Chachoengsao and Chonburi. Toyota says it is coordinating with parts suppliers to restore deliveries, managing inventory, and adjusting production and transportation plans to match conditions.

Question 2

Which Toyota plants in Thailand stopped production?

Accepted Answer

Three plants: Samrong in Samut Prakan, and Gateway and Ban Pho in Chachoengsao. Toyota Motor Thailand announced the temporary adjustment at all three because flooding disrupted parts deliveries. Chonburi is named only as one of the provinces where flooding affected parts supply.

Question 3

How long will Toyota Thailand's production adjustment last?

Accepted Answer

Toyota announced 5 to 10 October 2026, but the period may change. The company says any change depends on the situation and the readiness of parts deliveries. Toyota will communicate the resumption date through appropriate channels once it is confirmed.

Question 4

Which Toyota models are built at the Gateway plant?

Accepted Answer

Available plant information lists the Yaris Ativ, Yaris Hatchback, Yaris Cross, Corolla Altis, Corolla Cross and Camry. Gateway, in Chachoengsao, has a stated annual capacity of 300,000 units. Toyota has not said which of these models, if any, face delays.

Question 5

Which Toyota models are built at the Ban Pho plant?

Accepted Answer

Available plant information lists the Hilux Revo, Hilux Travo, Hilux Travo-e, Fortuner and Land Cruiser FJ. Ban Pho, in Chachoengsao, has a stated annual capacity of 230,000 units. Being built there does not confirm a production or delivery delay for any model.

Question 6

Is the Toyota Hilux Travo-e affected by the production halt?

Accepted Answer

Not confirmed. The Hilux Travo-e is reported as being built at Ban Pho, so its production could be exposed to the temporary suspension. Toyota has not published a model-level impact list, so buyers with a pending order should ask their dealer directly.

Question 7

Will Toyota Thailand customers face delivery delays?

Accepted Answer

Some deliveries could be affected, but Toyota has not announced a blanket delay. If a customer's delivery is affected, Toyota says it will coordinate with dealers to promptly inform that customer of the confirmed new delivery date.

Question 8

What is the annual production capacity of Toyota's three Thailand plants?

Accepted Answer

The combined stated capacity is 770,000 units per year: Samrong 240,000, Gateway 300,000 and Ban Pho 230,000, according to Toyota Motor Thailand's company information. This is capacity, not actual production and not an estimate of vehicles lost during the October adjustment.

Question 9

Has Toyota confirmed which models are affected?

Accepted Answer

Toyota has not published a model-by-model list of affected vehicles. The company has confirmed the temporary production adjustment at Samrong, Ban Pho and Gateway because flooding disrupted parts deliveries, but it has not publicly identified specific vehicle models as being delayed.

Question 10

When will Toyota Thailand production restart?

Accepted Answer

No restart date has been confirmed beyond the announced 5–10 October 2026 period. Toyota says it will communicate the resumption date through appropriate channels once confirmed. It adds that the period may change depending on the situation and the readiness of parts deliveries.
