Question 1

What did LG Energy Solution and indiGOtech announce?

Accepted Answer

On October 1, 2026, LG Energy Solution said it signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with U.S. commercial EV startup indiGOtech. The companies will explore battery supply and technological collaboration, working toward a final agreement for 46-series NCM cylindrical cells for indiGOtech's upcoming Flow Ride and Flow Cargo EVs.

Question 2

Is the LG Energy Solution–indiGOtech agreement binding?

Accepted Answer

No. The announcement describes the MoU as non-binding. It records an intention to work toward a final agreement, but it is not a finalized supply contract, and the release does not say when a binding agreement might be signed.

Question 3

What battery cells could LG Energy Solution supply to indiGOtech?

Accepted Answer

LG would potentially supply 46-series NCM cylindrical cells. NCM refers to nickel-cobalt-manganese chemistry. The release does not disclose cell dimensions, capacity or pack configuration, and any supply depends on a final agreement being reached.

Question 4

Which indiGOtech vehicles are named in the MoU?

Accepted Answer

The release names indiGOtech's upcoming Flow Ride and Flow Cargo EVs. It does not publish their specifications, range, pricing or production schedule, so those details should not be assumed from the MoU.

Question 5

When could the battery supply take place?

Accepted Answer

The companies will work toward a final agreement covering supply from 2027 to 2030. That is the period being explored, not a confirmed delivery schedule. No quantities or milestones have been disclosed.

Question 6

What are LG and indiGOtech trying to improve through their collaboration?

Accepted Answer

Both companies intend to review opportunities to extend driving range and reduce charging times, supported by vehicle-battery integration and performance verification work. These are stated objectives, not demonstrated results, and no range or charging figures were disclosed.

Question 7

Have LG Energy Solution or indiGOtech disclosed supply volumes or financial terms?

Accepted Answer

No. The release does not disclose supply volumes, financial terms, pricing or battery-pack capacity. It also contains no information about India or any market beyond the stated U.S. commercial vehicle focus.
