SONY surprises the world with new advance electric car unveiled at CES 2020: SONY VISION-S

The Sony VISION-S: The word ‘electric car’ defines itself about its existence, but still these words need more clarification for better understanding at the ground level. There could be hybrid, Plug-in hybrid, battery electric vehicle or the fuel cell. The end purpose is to make the transport system independent from the use of fossil fuel.

CES is always been an international level platform for every tech from we saw the automobile companies are dominating in this event. Some of them like BMW, Mercedes, Fiscker and Ford have shown their upcoming car technology along with the concept car. But the brand like SONY came up with a concept car surprisingly. Even though this car not going to be in production anytime but still million of dollars were spent to show the brand capability in the automotive sector.

SONY Vision-S

The most surprisingly at CES2020, Sony unveiled its vision S concept electric car. 33 sensors used for valet parking, advanced cruise control, facial recognition and various safety features. Each seat has individual speakers to allow passengers to listen to their own music and a lot of entertainment related features on a wide panoramic screen. It also has the driver assistance features. Some of the unique offerings are the 360 reality audio and the panoramic screen of dashboard.

Modern cars are equipped with all the electronic gadgets and technology, which connects are car to our own living eco-system. Sony is the brand which already has been proven their capability in building high quality electronic gadgets from the speaker to the screen. So, through this car, the company holds its position more strongly and proves its capability to work into autonomous and electric vehicle also. Sony Vision-S doesn’t have the conventional rear view side mirrors, but it has the camera both sides. These works well and show the complete side view on the wide screen.

Sony has already made it clear that it’s not going to manufacture this vehicle in the near future and even not will consider the limited edition batch of the Sony Conecpt-S. My Words

Sony Vision-S is not only the concept car, but it’s much more than that. The technology used in this car is far ahead from the current generation vehicles on the road. Sony has definitely taken the engineering and other support from other companies also. Companies like- MAGNA , NVIDIA, BlackBerry|QNX, BOSCH, BENTELER, Here, Qualcomm, ZF, Continental and Elektrobit have worked together to complete the Sony Vision-S. And by doing so Sony once again proved its capability in new areas.
