MG ZS EV- a car that many Indians are waiting for. Indian EV Industry is at the eyes of every car manufacturer. Because there are only a few electric cars are available in the market and among them, Mahindra and Tata are pitching so high. Hyundai Kona electric monthly sale is not so impressive because of its high price tag. So, a lot of scopes is there for the mid-range price segment of an electric car. MG ZS EV probably will fit the expectation of many electric car enthusiasts.

ZS EV is going to unveil in India on coming 05th December 2019. MG is testing its first electric car in India for many months. This going to be an SUV and somewhat like a cross over.

MG first electric internet SUV (MG ZS EV) is expected to price between 20 to 23 lakh rupees. So investing this much of amount will not be possible for every Indian. Those who want to drive it personally and want to take loved one for a tour with MG ZS EV to experience the real electric SUV then there is good news. Lithium Urban has collaborated with the MG Motors to add the MG ZS EV in their rental fleet. Basically, Lithium-Urban is a Bangalore based car rental and electric vehicle’s transport provider company. As per their strategic partnership, MG ZS EV will be available on rental plan from January 2020. This service will be available initially only in few cities like- Delhi NCR, Hyderabad and Bangalore.

The lack of charging infrastructure has always been a point of discussion among the public, government and car companies in India. Some of us also tell the “chicken or egg” story to justify their opinion but now its also true that progressively we are moving ahead. MG Motors has already started setting up some fast-charging stations in Delhi NCR. MG India has also setup charging stations at other 3 different locations of the Delhi NCR. Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru city also got the charging station from MG. MG is installing fast charging in the collaboration with Finland based company Fortum. This 50kW DC fast charger is located at the MG Flagship showroom Gurgaon.

On the occasion of the inauguration of 1st fast charger in Gurgaon Rajeev Chaba, President and Managing Director, MG Motor India, said “Company is focussing on ensuring adequate charging infrastructure for its first EV customers, with an aim to be the leader in the Indian EV segment. MG endeavours to create a robust ecosystem for EVs, from charging to end-of-life, and installation of the first public fast charger is a major first step in this direction”.

Showroom on the wheel is a unique experience which enhances the overall brand interaction story with the customers. With this new idea, MG is targeting people from those locations where MG showroom is not available. 45 feet trailer looks enough to provide sufficient space to experience the new tech and to know the British-Chinese brand history. People can interact with the technology digitally as well as experience the MG Hector car physically there. This type of mobile showroom will go to pan India and touch the tier 2 and tier 3 cities starting from 5th December. Company will also use these ‘showroom on the wheels’ for the promotion of its new upcoming MG ZS EV.

Company is going to unveil this EV on 5th of December. Booking for MG first Internet Electric Car ZS EV has begun. Anyone can book the new EV with the booking amount of Rs. 50,000/- and by visiting any of the MG dealership. This is expected to launch in early 2020 under the price tag of 20 to 23 Lakhs. MG electric car will probably powered by 150 hp electric motor and a 44.5kWh li-ion battery pack which will deliver a range of 335 km on the older NEDC test cycle and for newer WLTP testing procedure the range will be 262 km. Charging time with the 7kW AC charger will be 07 hours by MG ZS EV can be charged from 0 to 80% just in 40 minutes by 50kW DC fast charger.

MG has decided to bring its first electric car in India via the CKD route (completely knocked down). This initially debuted in China in 2018 and now already available in the UK, Australia and Thailand. For your information SAIC Motors (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation), a Chinese company owns the British Car Brand MG currently.
