Because there are only a few electric cars are available in the market and among them, Mahindra and Tata are pitching so high. MG Charging Infrastructure:
The lack of charging infrastructure has always been a point of discussion among the public, government and car companies in India. Some of us also tell the “chicken or egg” story to justify their opinion but now its also true that progressively we are moving ahead. MG Motors has already started setting up some fast-charging stations in Delhi NCR. MG India has also setup charging stations at other 3 different locations of the Delhi NCR. Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru city also got the charging station from MG. MG is installing fast charging in the collaboration with Finland based company Fortum. On the occasion of the inauguration of 1st fast charger in Gurgaon Rajeev Chaba, President and Managing Director, MG Motor India, said “Company is focussing on ensuring adequate charging infrastructure for its first EV customers, with an aim to be the leader in the Indian EV segment. MG endeavours to create a robust ecosystem for EVs, from charging to end-of-life, and installation of the first public fast charger is a major first step in this direction”.
MG Experience on Wheels:
Showroom on the wheel is a unique experience which enhances the overall brand interaction story with the customers. With this new idea, MG is targeting people from those locations where MG showroom is not available. 45 feet trailer looks enough to provide sufficient space to experience the new tech and to know the British-Chinese brand history. People can interact with the technology digitally as well as experience the MG Hector car physically there. This type of mobile showroom will go to pan India and touch the tier 2 and tier 3 cities starting from 5th December.
