ZIPTRON” latest EV technology from Tata Motors Brand will power the future EVs

Ziptron Technology- A start of new revolutionary world. Where every OEM is not putting all the effort to come up in market with latest EVs technology to capture the open market (Specially in electric 4 wheeler), Tata Motors unveils its world class EV technology today – “ZIPTRON”. Tata Motors claims that ZIPTRON going to set the benchmark in Indian EV industry in future and its performance will be remarkable.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Guenter Butschek, CEO & MD, Tata Motors said,
“We are proud to present this state-of-art technology brand – ZIPTRON, which has been designed in-house while utilizing our global engineering network. At the heart of our future EV line-up, this technology will deliver a thrilling driving experience to our customers aspiring to go-green. Rigorously tested across 1 million kms, ZIPTRON technology is well proven, advanced and reliable. With this technology, we hope to usher in a new wave of eMobility in India and accelerate faster adoption of EVs, supporting the Government’s vision.”

What is ZIPTRON?

Basically ZIPTRON is the newly developed electric vehicle powertrain system will will power the future EVs of the Tata Motors. This powertrain comprises of a highly efficient permanent magnet AC motor which wil provide the superior performance as per the requirement and it also having best in industry battery system. This battery system will ensure the high range of EVs and will also be dust/water proof mating IP67 standards. Re-generative braking system will further increase the efficiency of the ZIPTRON powered Tata Electric vehicles.

Future Plans:

Tata Motor will use this state of art ‘ZIPTRON’ technology for different electric vehicles which are planned to launch in 2020 onwards. Probably first car will come into market by Q4 2020. But this technology will boost the Tata Motors EV portfolio. Tata Motors has developed this new technology with the effort of its local engineers and collaboration with other technology partners.
