1,46,000 Pre-Bookings of Tesla Cyber Truck in 48 hours
Tesla has many things to show-off. One of them is ‘Cyber Truck’. Are you also in queue to take delivery of the Cyber-Truck?
22nd November 2019 was the day when Tesla Inc. chief executive officer (CEO) Elon Musk unwrapped his long-time awaited one of dream project in Los Angeles. Elon along with his team was working to build a cyber truck since 2012 but it took just 15 minutes on the stage to unveil that.
Yes! The whole session on that day only lasts over 15 to 16 minutes. Tech enthusiast, Auto-reviewer, Youtuber, Bloggers, Engineers, many business associates as well as Tesla fans attended that event. So, what was that-
Elon unveiled the Cyber Truck which is known by the statement-
“Better utility than a truck with more Performance than a Sports Car”.
Cyber Truck 1,46,000 Pre-Bookings-
Elon Musk said on Saturday that- the Tesla Inc. has received 1,46,000 orders for its Cybertruck in less than 48 hours of it came before the world. Tesla official website allows people to do the pre-booking. On his twitter handle Elon updated that out of 146k initial booking in first 48 hours, 42% have choosen dual motor configuration, 41% tri-motor and 17% have booked single motor’s configuration Cyber Truck.
The time I am updating this article Elon Musk has confirmed that total booking for Tesla Cyber Truck crossed 2,00,000 numbers.
Elon Musk is known for his unique ideas to transform human transport on the earth and into Space through the products of his wonderful scientific thoughts. On 16th November 2017, Musk had unveiled very special unique products.

Tesla SEMI Truck
That was Tesla SEMI Truck and a low roof version of the Tesla SEMI Pickup Truck. This product has all the technology and features which are more than enough to revolutionize the trucking/transport industry. It was a class 8 category truck and all the competitive engineering parameter were described assuming 80,000 lbs of load on it.
Whatever we knew about the tesla until 2016 was on the basis of its master plan well described in a blog under the heading – The Secret Tesla Motors Master Plan (just between you and me).
But this new segment vehicle was first announced in CEO Elon Musk’s’ ‘Master Plan Part Deux’. Here’s the relevant part of the Master Plan –
“Apart from the consumer vehicles, two other types of electric vehicles are required in the market: heavy-duty trucks and high passenger-density urban transport. Both kind of vehicles are in the early stages of development at Tesla and should be ready for unveiling next year. We believe the Tesla SEMI will deliver a substantial reduction in the cost of cargo transport, while increasing safety and making it really fun to operate.”
These prototypes had a lot of things which never existed. Like the drag coefficient for the Tesla Semi was 0.36. Which is really a kind of achievement for such a big truck. Bugatti Chiron is 0.38. Battery range of 500 miles. Another thing was its performance. 0-60 miles with 80,000 lbs in just 20 seconds. 0-60 miles in just 05 seconds if there is no payload. 400 miles of range in just 30 minutes.
Features like Enhanced Autopilot, Automatic Emergency Breaking, Automatic Lane Keeping, Forward Collision Warning was said break-through technology for the trucking industry.
Safest Driver Position, Lowest Center of Gravity, Minimal Rollover Risk, Jackknifing Prevention.
Four Independent Drivetrains, Quasi-Infinite Brake Life, No Transmission, Emissions Scrubber or Differentials, Thermonuclear Explosion-Proof Glass.
Where is the TESLA SEMI Truck?
So, above all mentioned points were the points described by the Elon Musk during the unveiling event in November 2017. Elon Musk said – “Production begins in 2019. If you order now you will get the truck in 2019”.
But still, there is no sign of production. I hope those who made the booking still will be waiting and will wait.
Tesla Roadster
Second high technology electric super- Tesla Roadster – This car was also unveiled in the same event in November 2017. Actually, the Roadster is a real invention and implementation of the latest possible extreme technology. To justify the above sentence the performance figures of Tesla Roadster is enough.
Tesla Roadster has 200kWh battery which gives the range of 620 miles on the highway. Roadster has 03 motor configuration. One motor on the front and two motors on both the rear wheels. Top speed is 250 mile per hour. Talk about the acceleration then it goes 0-60 mph in just 1.9 seconds and a Quarter mile in 8.9 seconds. For the fare comparison, let’s get to know the acceleration of the fastest car in production – Bugatti Chiron. Bugatti Chiron : 0 – 60 in 2.4 sec and a Quarter mile in 9.9 sec. Even Lamborghini Murcielago does 0 – 60 mph in 3.1 sec. So, I believe that the performance of Tesla Roadster is unmatchable and you have to accept it. If you are still wondering and thinking no, It’s not sufficient then here is the fact- Tesla Roadster delivers the peak torque of 10,000 (ten thousand) Nm while Bugatti Chiron has the maximum peak torque of 1600 (sixteen hundred) Nm only. So, either you believe or not but you can not ignore the Tesla Roadster.
After unveiling the Tesla Roadster for people I think Elon Musk thought- This roadster deserve the better place than the Earth. That’s why he twitted this new idea on his twitter-
Where is the TESLA ROADSTER now?

Right now Tesla Roadster is running at 1000 of kilometres per hours since its launch into space on 06th February 2018. This date is very clear and on this day only SpaceX had launched the Falcon Heavy into space. This falcon heavy had very special payload- Tesla Roadster and Starman (a dummy driver). Falcon Heavy gave the Elon’s Red-Tesla-Roadster initial boost and speed and successfully taken it to the Roadster in space ever since. Then by November 2018, it reached Mars. Currently, Roadster is moving on around the Sun on an elliptical path and completing the cycle of full orbit every 557 days and scheduled to finish the first round before the end of 2019. Now you will be thinking of what would be after the completion of one full orbit. Then answer is nothing but yes it successfully completes full cycle then it is expected that the Roadster will be capable to move on that same elliptical path around the sun for the next few millions year more.
If you had wished to take the delivery of Tesla Roadster during its unveil event on 16th November then sadly I say that Tesla has no plan currently to start the manufacturing of Roadster. Conclusion
As per Elon Musk, 1,535,947 Pickup Trucks were sold so far (including all the brands together) this year. And Current booking number of Tesla Cyber Trucks has crossed 2,00,000. Do you think Tesla will be having such a manufacturing facility so that Teslas would be able to deliver 200k Cyber Truck even by 2023? Now, I have one question for you – Are you still looking to get the delivery of Tesla Roadster, Tesla SEMI Truck and most important Tesla CyberTruck. Yes, Tesla Cyber Truck in 2 years. So, as I analyse the timeline for Roadster and Semi Truck then it’s been more than two years now. But still, there is no clear timeline for that. Production planned time is already gone. So, the people who have made the booking for the recently launched Tesla Cyber Truck hope for the best. I appreciate the effort taken by the Elon Musk for thinking beyond all the conventional mindset and developing the outstanding tech product. But I also think about those who attend the launch event and those many more who did pre-booking (more than 2,00,000 people) for the Elon’s revolutionary product. I hope this time Tesla will not miss the timeline and we will see the Tesla Cyber Truck on the road.
