MotoHaus has launched the VLF Strada electric scooter in India at ₹1,19,999 (ex-showroom) for the City and ₹1,55,500 for the Max. The City has one 2.16 kWh battery and a claimed 130 km range; the Max has two packs totalling 4.32 kWh and a claimed 250 km range and offering removable batteries.
Before booking, understand one thing: the 250 km figure is a manufacturer-claimed IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) number, not a measured real-world range.
VLF Strada Key Facts at a Glance
- Price (ex-showroom): City ₹1,19,999; Max ₹1,55,500 (the product page shows ₹1,55,499).
- Battery: 72 V LFP, 2.16 kWh per pack. City has one pack; Max has two (4.32 kWh).
- Claimed IDC range: 130 km (City), 250 km (Max).
- Motor: BLDC hub motor, 3 kW rated, 4.8 kW peak per the launch page, 34 Nm torque.
- Claimed top speed: 85 km/h. 0–50 km/h: 10 seconds (MotoHaus listing).

VLF Strada Price in India: City vs Max Compared
The table below combines MotoHaus’s launch page, product page and CarToq’s report. Where the manufacturer has not split a figure by variant, the cell says so.
| Parameter | Strada City | Strada Max |
| Ex-showroom price | ₹1,19,999 | ₹1,55,499 |
| Battery capacity | 2.16 kWh | 4.32 kWh |
| Number of battery packs | 1 | 2 |
| Claimed IDC range | 130 km | 250 km |
| Claimed charging time (20–100%) | About 3 hours | About 6 hours |
What the ₹35,500 Price Gap Actually Buys
The Max costs about ₹35,500 more and adds a second 2.16 kWh pack and 120 km of claimed range. These are simple purchase-price comparisons, not running-cost or lifetime-cost figures.
- Incremental price per extra kWh: about ₹16,400.
- City purchase price per kWh: about ₹55,600. Max: about ₹36,000.
- Purchase price per km of claimed range: about ₹923 (City) and ₹622 (Max).
The second pack costs less per kWh than the first, which favours the Max. But price per kilometre of claimed range is not cost per kilometre travelled, so these numbers alone do not prove the Max is better value.
| Buyer requirement | More suitable variant | Reason |
| Lower purchase budget | City | ₹35,500 lower price |
| Longer daily distance | Max | 4.32 kWh and 250 km claimed |
| Limited home charging access | Either | Packs are reported as removable |
| Occasional longer trips | Max | Larger capacity gives more buffer |

Motor Power, Torque, Acceleration and Top Speed
The Strada uses a BLDC (brushless DC) hub motor, controlled by an FOC (field-oriented control) controller, which manages torque delivery smoothly. MotoHaus claims 34 Nm, 85 km/h and 0–50 km/h in 10 seconds. These are claimed figures, not tested ones.
Rated power is what a motor can sustain; peak power is what it can deliver briefly. It has 4.8 kW of peak power.
The 93% motor-efficiency figure describes the motor alone. It does not by itself tell you how efficient the whole scooter is or how far it will go.
Battery Capacity, LFP Chemistry and Removable-Battery Practicality

Both variants use 72 V LFP (lithium iron phosphate) packs rated IP67. LFP chemistry is generally valued for thermal stability and cycle life. IP67 means protection against dust and temporary immersion under defined test conditions; it is not a licence for unrestricted underwater use.
The Strada offers two battery configurations: a single 2.16 kWh pack or a dual 4.32 kWh pack, both operating on a 72V architecture.
VLF Strada offers removable batteries, which can make charging at home or work easier. MotoHaus has not detailed whether both packs charge independently, how removal works, or what happens if the Max runs on one pack.
Chassis, Suspension, Tyres, Brakes and Safety Equipment

The frame is a high-tensile steel tubular unit. Suspension is a 31 mm telescopic fork with 100 mm travel at the front and dual hydraulic coil springs, preload adjustable, with 100 mm travel at the rear. The 16-inch front and 14-inch rear alloy wheels use tubeless tyres.
Braking is by front and rear discs with CBS (combined braking system), which applies both brakes when you use one.
Display, Lighting, Connectivity and Convenience Features
VLF Strada has three riding modes. It comes with a 5-inch TFT display, keyless entry, an illuminated ignition, full-LED lighting, and USB Type-A and Type-C charging ports.
Dimensions, Weight and Practical Suitability for Indian Riders
A 780 mm seat height and 175 mm ground clearance are reasonable on paper for Indian roads, though shorter riders should sit on one before booking. VLF Strada has 98 kg of kerb weight.
Colours, Booking Details, Availability and Delivery Timeline
The Strada comes in Carbonio Black, Urbano Silver, Luna White and Titanio Grey. MotoHaus asks buyers to confirm colour availability at authorised VLF dealerships.
The VLF Strada booking can be made online by paying the price range of ₹999 to ₹1,999 (depends upon the model). MotoHaus customer care is on +91 7971111870 and care@motohaus.in.
